How to renew your high risk work (LF/LO) licence
HOW CAN I RENEW MY FORKLIFT LICENCE IN VICTORIA?

Is your current forklift (LF Licence) or order picker (LO Licence) due to expire soon?
The licence renewal is a simple process via WorkSafe Victoria’s website.
You don’t need to attend an accredited training course to renew your current licence, if it is still valid and hasn’t expired.
Your licence needs to be renewed every 5 years.
EXPIRED LICENCE
If your forklift licence and/or order picker licence has expired, please contact WorkSafe Victoria to find out what your options are.
Depending on how long it has been expired for, you may need to complete another course to obtain your licence again.

FORKLIFT LICENCE RENEWAL COST
The cost of renewing your current LF licence and/or LO licence does vary and is subject to change. This is determined by WorkSafe at the time.

FORKLIFT REFRESHER COURSE
It is highly recommended that you keep yourself up-to-date and competent with your skills at least every 2 years while holding a current forklift licence and/or order picker licence.
Our online or face-to-face forklift refresher courses are designed for current, licensed operators that are looking to refresh their skills and knowledge to ensure they are competent operators.
Depending on the situation, you may need to enrol into one of our 2-day courses to obtain your forklift licence and/or order picker licence again.

FORKLIFT RENEWAL TRAINING FAQS
- Onsite* refresher 2.5 to 3 hours.
- Online refresher 45 minutes to 1 hour
- At Trainix HQ it is 2.5 to 3 hours.
*We are able to bring one of our forklift professionals to your workplace to run your team through the forklift fresh course onsite.
Our refresher course is available online, in person at your workplace, or at the Trainix building in Hoppers Crossing, Melbourne.

- Onsite – $100 + GST per person (minimum 8 people required)
- Online $100 + GST per person
- At Trainix $200 + GST per person
Photo ID
Your photo ID must be any of the following and cannot be expired:
- Australian Driver’s
- Licence/Learners Permit
- Passport (Australian passport can be expired by 2 years but international passports must be in date)
- Proof of Age Card
- KeyPass
- Australian Boat Licence
- Australian Security Licence
- Australian High Risk Work Licence
- University or other tertiary education photo ID
This ID must be presented in person and can’t be a photocopy. Digital issued licences are acceptable but will need to be sited by the trainer.
As these skills are different, the refresher courses also differ.
